I have seen a noticeable difference in my dogs gait. She weighs 45lbs and was 8 years old when I started giving her these tablets. She had a little trouble getting up and down, but since she had been taking them it seems much easier for her. She is 10 now.

I've ordered these chews from Amazon a few other times. I got the 120 chew tub this time instead of the larger size I usually order. The chews in this smaller tub are very hard, and I have to break them in half before giving them to my dog for fear he'll choke on them since he doesn't bother to actually chew anything.If I hadn't already thrown away the box they came in, I'd return them.Overall, though, I think this is a good product. My old dog seems to move a little better, and apparently they taste pretty good, judging by the way he goes after them, but then again, I have yet to see a food he wouldn't eat.

after 2 weeks of use my buddy pretty much stopped limping due to his ACL sprain. I couldn't be happier with it. will keep using.

Our 60lb, 4 year old, rescue dog had a significant and worrisome limp. The Vet thought that she was having stiffness and pain in her knee and recommended a trial of Glucosamine. We considered several products, and based on the description and the reviews, decided to give her Joint Max. Within the first month we were seeing improvement, and by the third month she was running and playing without any signs of pain. We started with the triple strength "Joint Max", giving her two pills daily, reduced to one daily as she improved, and have now, after one year, reduced the daily dose to the Double Strength chews, one pill daily. She seems to like the taste, and eats them eagerly and has not had any apparent side effects. We are very pleased to see how well she has recovered and will continue giving her Joint Max.

These were awesome for my dog but then they raised the price (possibly discontinued them in favor of triple strenght?) and tired to pass of the triple strength as better but they aren't! Check the ingredients compared to the double strength, there's less key ingredients in the triple as there were in this double strenght! Triple strength serviing size is TWICE what the double strength is. One chewable is the serving size for the double strenth, it's TWO for the triple! So I've changed to Cosequin soft chews which are also great. I want my dog to get what she needs with one chewable.

We have 2 older dogs that we have used this on for a long time. Before these dogs we used it on our basset hounds that lived to be 12 and 14 years old. The only way to tell if it really worked would be to quit giving it to them...and we don't want to do that!!! One dog is 13 and goes up/down 8 steps each time she goes in/out of the house and does great. She is a short-legged mixed breed that has had her ACL repaired years ago, so in my opinion, the medicine helps. Glucosamine was suggested by our Vet after her surgery and we started both on it.

They came in one big glob and it's difficult to pull one apart from the mess and they smell horrible. They probably do the job, but I'm going back to my normal product that are nice little bone shapes, don't stick together and don't have a horrific odor!

The chews are all stuck together. The texture is hard enough were my 15 year old dog with dental issues has a hard time chewing them. Price is way more affordable than the vets office but wish it had the same quality.

Smell terrible and I don't know how well they work, but my dog loves them. They stick together in container, too. Will probably look for another option next time.

My dog likes them and they seem to work. My only complaint is they dry out before they are all used.

I have been using the Joint Max product for a few years now for my aging Shi Tzu. Since using Joint max his mobility has improved dramatically. Even though the joint max is for joint lubrication I noticed an increase in his energy level when he takes the tablet once a day. I would recommend this product to anyone for thier four legged children.

Edited for lengthThis product arrived less than a half hour ago.I opened up thinking "oh gosh" they will never eat these, I am going to have to grind them, hide them in food, messy... bother. Two fussy rescue kids, masters of accept and spit out. I make no apologies for catering to them, they have earned it. Put a tablet in my palm, the little one came running over, picked it up and ate it. Big guy lumbers over... 2 for him, ate them like candy. Hope they work.Update September 5, 2014.They do work. He is not straining when he goes from sitting to standing. His back end is moving easily with his former grace. Bounding up the front stairs. He can get on the bed again. The little one is no longer interested, spit the last one I offered out. That's ok, she probably doesn't need them. The other thing is that the bottle disappeared, he went back to having a hard time standing up and would not try to jump up on the bed. We found about half the bottle this morning stuck under the back deck...opened, contents wet and spoiled. Wonder how that happened? New supply on the way.

Upon opening the lid, the soft chews are enclosed in a plastic bag with a twist tie.The chews are called soft but the package I got the soft chews are not soft enough to actually break them in half.My dog loves them and eats them fast so that's why I wished they would actually be soft enough to split in half.Will try them again.

I order this every few months for my dad's dog. His dog is 11 years old with a bad arthritic leg and knee. The dog gets two of these chews a day and seems to help make him more mobile.
