I have used Hylox chewable son my older GWP hunting dog for several years. It works.

Purchased for my aging Bischon with a lot of spunk! She lived to nearly 16. If it weren't for her cushions disease and eyesight being so bad, she could have lived longer. She gobbled these up and I had her on these for the last few years of her life. She didn't act like an elderly dog once on these. She still ran and played, wagged her tail and loved. I swear by these. I wish I had another dog like her. These are expensive, but it allowed her to be withhout pain and give us more time together. Fantastic product if you can afford it.

Same product, similar price without laying out for two. When the animal reaches a certain age you don't want to have backups.

My golden retriever seems to be better with joint pain and movement.

Seem to take the edge off of my dogs arthritis. They are picky with food and snacks and like these. Good price for the amount. I have two chow chow mix, they are.13, and 11 years old.

These seem to really help out my 4 year am staff. She has a torn ACL on her right knee which gives her trouble. She's much more active since we starrd giving these her.The vet says as long as she does not have a reduced quality of life or immobility, then she wouldn't need surgery.These are giving my baby girl strength and happiness and the ability to play with her brother which replaced mopey and slow moving activity.The pups are happy, I am happy :)This is a really great buy!

My two elderly dogs have no trouble chewing these up. I put small thyroid pills inside one to meet the daily dosage of a Husky-wolf. She's still going at 14+ years.

The company that makes Phycox is it phasing out for the newer Hylox. The only difference is Hylox has one extra ingredient, Sodium Hyaluronate (HA).

I'm not a huge believer in lots of supplements but after someone gave me a container of these to try on my 11 1/2 yr old lab I'm a believer. She's more active and less stiff within 2 weeks. Need less to say she remains on them!

I decided to try the Hylox vs. the phycox tabs. After seeing positive result from the Hylox i.e.: my dog was moving easier and playing instead of moping around the yard, and biting at my daughter when she accidentally jumped on her sore hips. We started for 1 week of 2 tabs in the AM, then after that went to 1 tab in AM one in PM. There was a noticeable difference, however, my dog was still moving a little on the slow side. I decided to try the Phycox tabs to see if they worked better. After 1.5 week of giving 2 phycox tabs in the AM I see no difference in her mobility. I tried giving her an extra dose for a couple days and still saw no difference in her. I will be purchasing more Hylox tabs instead of the Phycox.

As expected

I have a border collie that blew out her back hip a couple of years ago. She was only about 4 at the time so I needed to find something to give her some daily relief vs. any kind of surgery. Her hip has gotten much better and I think giving her 2 of these every day has definitely helped with her mobility. And the price on Amazon is so much cheaper than purchasing in the Vet's office. Well worth the cost.

These are not a cure-all for an older dog, but I do notice a difference! I use them in conjunction with "Hip and Joint" chews, and together they work great! I use two daily of the Hylox, and one of the Hip & Joint. That combination is very good - along with an occasional aspirin - for our 100 lb. dog.

I have been using Hylox and Phycox interchangeably, based on price. I started using this when my yellow lab was about 10 months old, when I discovered hip dysplasia. He is now 5 1/2 years old. His vet recommended Phycox and I found it on Amazon at a much better price. If he doesn't get these chews for a period of a week he can hardly move. I give him 3 in the morning and 3 in the evening, to help control the pain of his him. He also gets Rimadyl when he plays to hard. I can't say enough good about this product and Phycox. I know they are not the same product but they do give my boy relief and allows him to play catch and Frisbee when he wants. Without these chews he would be on pain drugs daily.

Seems to help my 13 year old lab with hip problems. The hip is still bad but she doesn't seem to have any pain. This is like a treat, she knows that once she get it it is time to eat.

New and improved. Great ingredients. Helps my 10-1/2-year-old labs with arthritis. I give 2 a day most days otherwise 1 a day. Vet recommended these. So much more price reasonable at Amazon than Vet office. Dogs didn't like the taste at first but now take it readily.

Around age 9 our golden retriever started slowing down with arthritis. Our vet recommended phylox. Our friends had tried these so we thought we gave them a try ourselves. It helped him tremendously. Well that was over 5 years ago. He is now over 14 and is still doing good. Without it now he can hardly walk.

Excellent product for older dogs

I bought Phycox, and our dog ate them. Then I bought Hylox, and our dog ate them. Now that the Hylox are gone, I have some Phycox. She won't eat them, she's spoiled with the better taste of the Hylox! I have to surround the Phycox with peanut butter to get her to eat them. I'll buy Hylox next time again. They both seem to help her move around easier. She's old with arthritis.

Rusty and Maggie demand this excitedly every morning. Maggie came to us 5 years ago, 25 pounds overweight and with a painful hip condition. A year of Hylox and a new dietary regimen, and she was down to her ideal weight of about 30 pounds, running and prancing like a champ. We thinks it's been a great dietary supplement for both dogs.

My 10 year old shih-tzu seemed to be limping less when she was taking this, so I guess it was working. However, the smell is very strong and after a few weeks, she refused to eat them. She'd just spit it out and then the slimy dissolving chocolate like chunk was useless.

I bought these in place of a more expensive brand. The ingredient list/amount is the same.My older dog limps from joint pain. Since taking these he no longer limps and is much more active.I will definitely order again.

Our Vet/friend recommended these to us to help give our lab the nutrition she needed for her joints. Apparently she was born with hip problems which is rare for a lab but she loves to run and jump and we notices she moved like an older dog even she was young. Since our friend recommended special joint food and these she has been a happier dog. Now she is 8 yrs old and runs and jumps without the stiffness afterwards. We will continue to keep supplement her diet with these as she is part of the family.

My senior does okay with this product...BUT I find Phycox works better. I know they have almost identical ingredients but the 'Phycox'.
