They help more older dogs (age 9) keep their joints supple. Too much play and old injuries can leave them feeling stiff and hobling around. They get joint max at breakfast and dinner. Before they would remain stiff jointed for up to a week, now they are back to the playful pup the next day!

These are GREAT chews for dogs. My border collie puppy and older dog both really like them. They are a nice size too.

My 11 year old, 98 lb, lab loves these treats in a way I have never seen before. He gets 5 a day, 3 in the morning, and 2 at night. He has been taking them for about 3 weeks now. I am starting to notice a big improvement in his movement already. About 2 months ago my sweet lab started to fall down the stairs almost every morning. I talked to his vet and she recommended I put him on some glucosamine. After a lot of research and review reading I chose these. I'm so glad I did. He has not fallen down the stairs in 4 days now. Last week he only fell down about 5 times. So, it is getting better. He is also running after sticks a little harder in the back yard. These treats will remain in his daily routine from now on.

My Bernese mountain dog is 9 years old and has arthritis in her front leg. These chews provide her more relief (we give 2 in the a.m. and 2 in the p.m.) than her prescription medications do - although we are trying alternative meds. She thinks the chews are treats, making them quite easy to give. I pull one apart and hid he pill in it. She is quite talented and will eat a piece of meat wrapped around a pill and then magically spit the pill out. I know I will continue buying these throughout the rest of her life, as they provide noticeable relief. It's worth mentioning that these were recommended by a friend who had a geriatric labrador retriever who experienced relief with these chews. If you have an older dog with orthopedic pains, I highly recommend giving these a try. I'm very grateful for Joint Max.

I bought the Joint Max after reading reviews on several different brands.. My dog is getting pretty old, and she has painful arthritis. These soft chews are so easy to give her. They have a pleasant taste, so I don't have to mask them with other food to get her to eat them. Also, I have gotten other brands in the past that made her stomach upset and caused her to throw up, but these ones are gentle on her stomach. She never seems to get sick, and I can tell that her pain is better when I give her the chews every day. I will buy again.

I love my dogs more than I do people and because of this I am very much into getting my dogs the best. One of my dogs is north of 10-years old now and upon recommendation of the vet we started using Joint MAX TRIPLE strength about a year ago. Over the course of the last year he's gotten 2-3 of these chews a day. Here are the pros and cons of the product:Pro:- My 10-year old golden retriever loves them (they smell kinda like licorice) so there is no trouble when he takes this supplement- I have noticed that he is somewhat less stiff than he was a year ago. This is not a "miracle" cure if you're dog is less than mobile but I have noticed that it has helped him- One bucket of 240 lasts about 3-4 months with how many I give my dog per dayCons:- Not a miracle cure if your dog is injured (not really a con...more of a note). This product is a supplement and not a full-on solution- Pricey...but only if you consider the initial purchase price. When used over 3-4 months it is much more affordable.Overall I recommend this product highly especially if you are in to doing whatever you can to help your aging four-legged friends as they get on in years.

My Papillon has been taking this supplement many years, for a luxated patella. Seems to help. I buy these triple strength tabs, and cut them in to fourths for his small size. One tub will last over a year. Pretty affordable that way.

I bought these for my 7 year old male Pomeranian. He's a rescue dog that spent his first 2 years in a cage at a puppy mill so he has some issues with his back knees/legs. He was getting to the point where if we took him for a walk he could barely make it around the block. We decided to give him a break from walking for a couple of weeks and I purchased these. I give him one every morning and after a month I cannot believe the difference in him. He is running around, makes it around the block, plus more distance with ease. He acts like a puppy chasing squirrels through the yard. This product is amazing!!! I highly recommend. I haven't had any issues with it. In fact when I let him out in the morning he comes back, sits and waits by the door for his treat (one of these chews). VERY happy and satisfied customer. Will definitely repurchase.

A friend of mine gave me rave reviews about this product, and I saw what it did for her dog. Her dog went from practically immobile in the rear quarters & on lots of meds to running in the forest. It didn't help my shepherd-mix much, which suggests that my senior shep-mix may have other problems as well.

These chews are simply amazing!!! Much like other reviews have mentioned, the initial smell of the chews can be a bit overwhelming and cause you to doubt; but it doesn't take long for your pet to see you reach for the bucket and they come a'running. My 6 year old dachshund was diagnosed with acute IVDD and the vet told me the best, most successful chance at recovery was immediate surgery. And even then, the chances of a full recovery was still only about 60/40.Unfortunately, after hearing the likely costs of surgery ($7,500) I was in complete dismay. There was no way I could afford that kind of surgery, and my heart broke at the thought of the alternative. Like any other pet parent, I was desperate and willing to do almost anything, so I dove deep into the world wide web and researched any and all alternatives to surgery. I just got these and I will leave a quick review just to say.. My old gentleman lab would not eat any other pills.. These he thinks are a treat. Success! Ive just been buying walmarts brand but if he will eat these then im sold. Will write back to see how they work. Have three seniors and one is on rymadyl and she is an oldie dog.. Others two seniors are not to that point so hoping these will help them feeling good.Update: my lab was always a better frisbee catcher that the frisbee junkie Aussie (please don't ever tell him I spoke those cursed words) But the last year I have noticed my lab not giving a hoot about catching anything and if he did he usually tripped and then was hurting. Sad momma. After a couple days on these pills he is now wanting to play again... And outdoing the frisbee addict brother Aussie he grew up with. And whilst there is a lot of barking going on from the Aussie losing out on catching the frisbee, love seeing my bully feeling good. Catch 22. One dog not happy.. Another is bark ornery.

Had originally been giving our 3 English Bulldogs Synovi G3 and then Synovi G4; however had read review where the quality seemed compromised and there was an unknown substance in product and it was very dry. So, when I found this one that is similar "Joint Max Triple Strength soft chews" - these have been wonderful to our pets. Especially the older bulldog who has hip problems and a pin in her front paw. It has given her more pep and a skip to her walk she had not had in some time. She is doing the "wild girl" dance again and we are delighted with her skippy, hoppy, happy self again. -- Highly recommend it...

My dogs really enjoy these. I have 2 senior dogs, and ever since we improved food quality, added multivitamin, and these Joint treats, and my dogs have seen a major improvement in quality of life.

One of our dogs won't eat her food in the morning unless her "treat" (soft chew) is in it. Must taste good!

My dog has a displaced hip and a vet friend recommended this. She seems to be healthy and definitely active. She thinks they are treats and eagerly eats them as such, so the flavor must be good.

Our dogs loved these. While I'm not sure I saw a big difference in the reduction of joint pain/mobility...they were enjoyed.

My 12 year old dog rebounded quickly from an injured hip/hind leg. He has been steadily decreasing his desire to walk or play with our other two rescue dogs. I bought these chews and now he is back to his old self again. He even had problems getting down our deck stairs in the backyard to go potty. A week after being on these chews and he is literally leaping off the deck again chasing after squirrels that are outside our fenced in yard!!! I will of course continue to give him these as "Treats" moving forward to give him the best chance of living a comfortable, enjoyable life!! He has provided my family a ton of love over the years since picking him up from the Humane Society so buying these is a no brainer!! This also has saved me from a TON in VET BILLS!!! $$$$$

Stopped using this product when my dog didn't seem to like the taste any longer (used for 4+ years). However, she did have noticeable stiffness and issues getting up after a couple of months so began giving to her again.

Its going to be hard to determine the benefit to my 10 year old mixed breed, but there one advantage over the glucosamine pill I used to give him. Often the pill would remain sitting in his bowl after the meal. I bury this soft chew under his kibble and he pushes through it until he finds and eats it first. Dogs don't understand that desert should be saved for after.

4 out of 5 dogs love the soft chews, the 14 year old not so much but he is always a challenge

These have been helping my old friend immensely. He no longer groans every time he needs to lay down or stand up. The best part is that he loves them! He begs for them, so I don't have to force him to take his medicine.

My dogs love the flavor of these supplements and they have increased mobility after taking them for about 2 weeks. In addition, they are semi-moist and pliable enough to hide pills inside of them. Getting ready to place my 2nd order of the 120 count size.

My 13 year-old Lab-Rotty mix dog was having trouble jumping up onto the bed at night. I tried some of the Glucosamine capsules and "treats" at my local Pet Store, but she wouldn't touch them. She has always been a challenge to get pills into, but she wouldn't even look at the "treats", either. I was ready to give up on trying to find something that would help her, when I found this product listed on Amazon. I am so glad I ordered this! My dog gobbles these down like they are candy, and - within a week of starting on this - she is jumping up on the bed easily again. I cannot recommend these highly enough! Our older spaniel mix had hip pain and discomfort, particularly when she would get up after lying down for a period of time. She would get up and yelp in pain, then hobble around whimpering for a few minutes until she sort of "walked it off" and the pain went away. This product was suggested to us by our vet and the transformation is amazing. Within a week she had absolutely none of those aches and pains anymore. She can hop right up from a long nap and go for a run. It's like turning back the clock.We have reordered this product multiple times since discovering it - I highly recommend this for any dogs with similar issues!

Prior to finding Joint MAX we used the tablet form of delivery for similar ingredient blend and our dogs certainly were more willing to eat a moist chewy treat-like dose than a hard tasteless pill. The results have been slow but certain for the first two weeks but we're really seeing improvement so we intend to continue!

Before feeding my dog these chews it seemed like he would hurt himself every other week or so and be limping around. I've been feeding him these now for over a year and he really likes them and doesn't hurt himself nearly as often. If he does hurt himself, he seems to heal much faster. One thing we have found though is that if we give him the entire chew at once, he will throw up. To solve this we break each one in half and give him half before he eats his food and half after. I just think that all of it at once irritates his stomach. That's the reason I'm knocking a star off. Otherwise I am really impressed.

My 11 yr old Australian Cattle dog acts like a youngster. She still goes trail riding with me with my horse and plays ball all the time. I feel Joint Max is keeping her feeling good and active. Only reason I did not give it a 5 star is at times she eats around the chew, leaving it in her dish. I have the coax her to eat it then. Some days she eats it fine. Don't know why she is doing this. lol.

These work really well for our older Dane. He has so much more energy on these. Prior to taking these he avoided stairs but will now go up and down the stairs. Not always gracefully but he makes it up and down. The only drawback is he gets pretty jacked up if he has too many of the chews.He gets romantic with anything in his path. He can't take the dosage recommended for his weight so we pay close attention to giving them in small amounts when it seems he is starting to have issues moving. Our two younger dogs think these are wonderful treats. They don't have the same reaction but our old boy has always been sort of special :) We did start these too late for the oldest to reverse any major damage but I feel if given as supplement early on they are great for preventative care.

These chews are large, about the width of a hot dog and over an inch long. They are soft and smell like beef gravy. Mu dog loves them. I have an 11 year old Golden Retriever who has had bad joints her whole life. I bought these to replace another brand that was no longer available. They seem to work well. Without Glucosamine, she has difficultly going up and down stairs. These chews work well as she has had no real trouble recently. I have been giving her 2 a day, but I might increase to 3 as she has difficulty getting up. I also give her pain meds and steroids, but these chews round out what she needs to get up and down.

The smell is nasty but if you consider it medicine for your dog, this works wonders for old dogs. My dog is an older basset hound and she runs like a puppy.

My Lab was born with a rear hip disorder - legs not as strong as they should be --she seems to get around a lot better when she takes these.

I have a 14 year old 50 lb dog. Her back hips have been hurting her. A woman I met on the beach recommended these and told me they'd take about 6 weeks to kick in. After about 6 weeks, I have actually seen an improvement in my dogs energy and willingness to run. Yes - she still runs! I would take her for walks and she'd try to run and only get about 1/3 of the way before she stopped trying. Now she can go the whole way - which is only a mile, but for my dog to get home and still want to run and play around that's pretty good! That wasn't happening before I started using these.I think she did actually get sick of the taste or something so now I have to wrap them in bacon to get her to eat them. But I don't blame the product for her quirks! :)

We rescued an eight-year-old rat terrier this year, after the rattie we'd raised from birth finally passed away. It was distressing to realize she suffered from the same arthritic problems our old girl had for the last half of her life, but the only medication our vet could offer causes dementia -- which we found out the hard way last time. We received a sample of these chews with some other treats we ordered, though, and just a few days of taking them made a world of difference! She has an easier time jumping into chairs and is much less sensitive about being picked up. She even wants to wrassle and play tug-of-war with her toys, which is a first in the five months we've had her. I only wish we'd known about these sooner! As a bonus, she REALLY loves the flavor (they have a very rich, strong smell, almost like a combination of beef bouillon and chocolate), so these have become great incentive treats.

I have a Golden Retreiver that has suffered from arthritis since she was 3 years old. She is seven now, and i have tried a lot of things to try to make her more comfortable, none of which worked very well. After two weeks on Joint Max she was like a new dog. She chases balls in the yard again and gets up from her crate in the morning with much less obvious pain than she was before. This worked so well that I started using it on my male Golden Retreiver who injured his ACL running. After about three days he was limping far less and was in much better spirits. I will continue to purchase this product and highly recommend it.

When my dog was an active, playful puppy, he'd occasionally come up limping. I'd panic and take him to the vet to make sure nothing was seriously wrong, and after the 2nd or 3rd time, they suggested he use glucosamine. Of course, they mentioned the expensive brand, which I used for a while... then I found these, which were significantly cheaper, and found they worked as well, if not better than the other.He is now a healthy 9 year old dog and he hasn't had any of the issues from when he was younger, and when I put one of these in his bowl every breakfast, it's the first thing he eats.The huge supply lasts 8 months or so for my dog (larger dogs may take more so run out faster), and the chews stay soft and fresh as long as you close the bag.I figured all these years of daily use deserved a review, and it's absolutely a 5-star product.
