Have used Sentinel for years with three dogs. Always pleased !

Have been using for years. Protects for some parasites that other products do not. Their products were not avail able about a 6 years ago for a period of time so I used another product recommend by the vet in the interim. My boy ended up with worms that were hard to treat and he somehow contracted an infection that got into his heart and we lost him. We did a necropsy to find out his cause of death since we had multiple dogs. We will never really know if the worms caused the infection but it will always be suspect since he was so recently treated for the worms. That was the only recent health issue he presented. Now I am adamant about using Sentinel or Interceptor for the most complete parasite protection.

I have been using Sentinel and Interceptor for 20 yrs on 6 dogs (cockers/shelties. The only difference between the 2 is Sentinel has a flea med that stops them from reproducing. Same Heartworm ingredient. No side effects from any of my dogs. My vet highly recommends as the most effective and safest.

I have used Sentinel Flavor Tabs for many years on my large dogs and found it to be very effective in preventing fleas and keeping them worm free - with the exception of a tapeworm in a rescue dog before being treated with Sentinel. Entirely Pets Pharmacy has the lowest price I've found.

What can you say about these? It's medicine. Actually, not so delicious to my dogs. Both are chihuahua mixes, and neither will eat these when I put them in with their food. I am able to stuff a pill down one dog's throat, but the other won't even allow that and I have to powder it up with the back of a spoon and mix it with a little peanut butter in the bowl. But they don't get heartworms so I guess that's 4 stars.

Not all heartworm meds are safe for Australian shepards so check with your vet first if you have an Aussie. But this is the one my vet recommended for my Mini Aussies and they're both doing great with it.

Our Greyhound has a 'iffy' stomach when it comes to some of the heartworm tabs. Sentinel works the best. She can take them and still feel fine. And, they work.
